Kot kaže je danes kar nekaj igričarskih strani in novinarjev dobilo GW2 beta povabila. Članke, vtise in ostale informacije lahko pričakujemo 20. februarja, ko bodo nekatere izbrane strani objavile svoje beta dogodivščine.

We just started sending out invites. And no, I personally do not have the list of who will get invited.

Also: We will NOT lift the NDA, selected members of the press will be allowed to talk about their gaming experience. No general lifting of the NDA.

Guild Wars Insider s še eno ekskluzivo – screenshoti nove Guild Wars 2 PvP mape, ki jo bodo beta testerji preigravali februarja + nekaj random screenshotov iz igre.

Končno se začenja prikazovati luč na koncu tunela. Predsednik in soustanovitelj ArenaNet Mike O’Brien, sporoča vsem dobrodošlico v letu zmaja, kar tudi pomeni (načrtovano ali ne) izid igre Guild Wars 2.
Trenutno zaprte bete očitno potekajo po načrtih, katerim bodo posledično sledili vse večji dogodki. Za nas sta tako pomembna marec in april, ko se bomo lahko ob uspešni beta prijavi, sami podali v svet Tyrie.

We recently finished our first closed beta test, and we’re now ready to hold progressively larger events. In February we’ll invite select press to participate in beta testing, and in March and April we’ll aggressively ramp up the size of our beta test events so that many of you will have a chance to participate. And of course, this all leads to the release of Guild Wars 2 later this year.

We just finished up the first Closed Beta Test at the end of 2011. More will follow, depending on how those go we’ll do a few short open betas, then assuming everything goes as planned it’ll launch.

The lack of dates there is deliberate, FYI.

First closed beta test was 12/16 – 12/30.
