Prvi vpogled v Guild Wars 2 Marketplace (ali ga je ArenaNet morda preimenovala kar v Trading Post?) boste dobili, če obiščete priljubljen GW2 blog Hunter’s Insight (via GamesweltTV). Ne pozabit, beta is beta.

Update: Mike Ferguson (sistemski designer) je objavil članek z dodatnimi informacijami in odgovori na vprašanja o WvW. Danes ob 17. uri po našem času bo prav tako odgovarjal na vprašanja o WvW na Redditu.

Tekom razvoja igre GW2 nas je ArenaNet zelo počasi, s čajno žličko, hranila z informacijami o World vs. World bitkah. Le tu pa tam kakšen grižljaj. No, končno je napočil čas za zajeten obrok, poln informacij o tem odprtem, PvE/PvP načinu igre! Štiri ogromne mape, številne trdnjave ter stolpi, ki jih bomo lahko zasedali, izboljševali in napadali, gradnja orožij, orbi moči (Orbs of Power), nadzor nad resourci ter številne druge mehanike, nas pričakujejo v WvW.

Med 17. in 19. februarjem je potekala press only beta v kateri so lahko preiskusili PvE, PvP in WvWvW v vlogi charrov, nornov ter ljudi (žal ni bilo sylvari in asur). Danes pa so lahko novinarji svoje vtise igre objavili. Pa poglejmo:

ArenaNet je objavila nov blog post, ki se dotika nekaj zadnjih sprememb, ki so dodane v igro. Med drugimi so spremembe za downed/defeated status, dodani so Meta-Eventi, spremembe boonov oz. conditionov…

We just finished a huge beta event weekend, and we’ve got beta events just around the corner.  We have a lot of work to do to get the game ready, but we’re definitely up to the challenge and eager to show off the game to a larger audience.

Sure, zakaj pa ne. Sicer nič novega, ampak NCsoft je danes na finančni konferenci potrdil “priprave” na konzolno verzijo igre Guild Wars 2.

When it comes to Guild Wars 2 as we have announced already, we are in the preparation stage. For other titles we are looking at various options as we speak. So once again, nothing has been finalized yet for me to make specific comments now.

Takole je izjavo objasnil Martin Kerstein:

I think “stay calm, don’t panic” will become my new mantra.

We stated multiple times in public that we have a small team working on a console version, but that we are fully dedicated to make the most kickass game for PC (I think the official statement did not use the word kickass, in case someone wants to semantically disect my post ).

Update: Tudi TotalBiscuit (Cynical Brit) in Lewis B (Tap-Repeatedly) sta dobila dostop do bete! Naslednji teden se nam torej obeta nerdgazmična poplava GW2 video posnetkov.

Stuff we are planning on covering, bearing in mind that all characters start at Lv1 in this beta and are deleted after the weekend is done.

* Class overviews including skillsets with as many different weapons as we can get.
* Skill demonstrations on a per class basis including optimum attack rotations and so forth, basically a large set of “how this works” stuff.
* Stats explanations, a primer on a class by class basis on what’s good for you and what isn’t.
* Quest timelapses, these are an entire quest chain condensed into a smaller video, the idea being to give you an impression of how the questing system changes the zone as well as some storyline overview.
* Character creation on a per race basis.
* PvP where possible, including double-perspective duels, IF it can be done.
* World bosses where available.
* Mechanics analysis and comparisons to other games

Wartower.de je sestavil video iz intervjujev gamescom 2011, v katerem ArenaNet razvijalci izkazujejo svoje navdušenje nad GW2.

Slaven komentator in YouTuber, TotalBiscuit aka. The Cynical Brit, v svoji video kategoriji Mailbox pojasni, zakaj je GW2 ideja o MMORPG igri brez healerja, DPS in tanka (no holy trinity) zgolj marketinška poteza.
